CHIRST; OUR INHERITANCE 5

336

We have Christ as our blessing and he affects everything that concerns us. Hallelujah!

Ezekiel 34:14-15
I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel. I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD.

Lastly, he said, “I will cause them to lie down.” This talks of rest. Rest is far from passivity. Rest is when you are not working to earn anything from God. Rest is when you have all that you will ever need already at your disposal. God has caused us to rest in the exalted Christ.

In Christ, we are at rest. We are not seeking to earn anything; we are not seeking to be righteous, holy or anointed. In him, we are righteous, holy and anointed. He has caused us to rest. We rest knowing that he is our righteousness, our holiness and our anointing.

When we are at rest, we still work. But the works we do are not to earn things from God. They are to express all that we have in Christ. We flow from our true essence to refresh others.

Look at the verse again

Ezekiel 34:14-15
I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel. I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD.

Notice the use of “I”. God does all of these things. Ours is to enjoy and express them. This is grace. This is the order of the New Covenant. It is according to the grace of God and not our works…

To be continued…
