He Saves; He doesn’t destroy 1

Understand that God is truly known in Christ. To know God, you would have to know Christ. This is because Christ is the embodiment of God.

He is the express image of God. Let’s look at it this way; if God was to take a selfie with an HD camera, the outcome would be Jesus. Jesus portrays the Father in his true essence.

Hebrews 1:3 KJV

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

This means that whatever we cannot accuse Jesus of, we can’t accuse God of. When Jesus was born, this was said of him:

Matthew 1:21 KJV

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall SAVE his people from their sins.

This was the description of his mission on earth: to save people from their sins and not to condemn them for their sins.

John 3:17 KJV

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Since Christ is the embodiment of God, it means that God is savior. He doesn’t punish people for their sins; he saves them instead — And that is exactly what he did in Christ.

That being said, we can’t accuse God of punishing the sin of the world with a virus. Firstly, the sin of the world has already been paid for by the sacrifice of Christ. Secondly, God does not use the devil’s tools to correct or discipline his children. He corrects us with his word…
