We are righteous in the sight of God. Our sins can’t come between our love relationship with God. We are dead to sin but alive to God.

AMP Romans 6:11

Even so, consider yourselves to be dead to sin [and your relationship to it broken], but alive to God [in unbroken fellowship with Him] in Christ Jesus.

We have no relationship with sin whatsoever. By the sacrifice of Christ, our relationship with sin has been broken once and for all. We are now in an everlasting relationship with God. This relationship cannot be broken. Sin cannot break it, nothing can break it.  “How is that possible?” You may ask.

Understand that the relationship we have with God is as a result of birth. It is Father-child relationship. When we believed in Jesus Christ, we were born of God.

KJV John 1:12-13

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:  which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

KJV 1 Peter 1:23

being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

We were born of God with his eternal life. That is what we received at birth. We received a life that made us children of God, a life that made us justified in God’s sight, a life that bonded us with God.

KJV 1 John 5:11-12

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

We are born of God, so we are joined to God by something more than good actions. We are bonded to God by something more than living perfectly. We are joined to God by his life. Because he gave birth to us, he has shared his life with us. The life that runs through God, our father, is the same life that runs through us.

This is a permanent reality because we are born of him. This means that as long as God exist, our relationship with him exists. We are joined to him by his eternal life. No matter what happens, our relationship with God can never be destroyed.

Look at what he says here:

KJV 1 Corinthians 6:17

But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

KJV Hebrews 13:5

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

He will never leave us nor forsake us. Why? We are joined to him as one Spirit. The Spirit in God is the same Spirit in us.

KJV Galatians 4:6

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

We are joined to God by his Spirit, that means nothing, not even our greatest sins or the greatest circumstances can separate us from him.

KJV Romans 8:35,38-39

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Beloved, nothing can separate us from the love of God. Nothing can separate us from the life of God by which we are joined to God….
